The milk industry promotion program (included in the
national development plan) aims to increase production in the southeastern area
of the country, as well as to ensure that the country can be self-sufficient
with respect to this food and thus be able to reduce their imports by
strengthening the national dairy economy.
This state of the South Pacific Zone has been chosen
together with Tabasco and Veracruz due to its natural wealth because due to
being a state that has abundant water, an excellent climate and land, it is one
of the richest for livestock activities.
Among the main actions considered by this scheme are
promoting and incentivizing investments and providing greater access to
financing to local producers, as well as technical advice and inclusion of
small entrepreneurs in the industry. For the implementation of the project in
2020, 180 Chiapas producers whose cattle farms exploit dairy cattle will be
supported.
A typical project in this segment consists of a total
investment of 357,143 pesos that will carry an incentive of 125,000 pesos and a
loan of 208,928 pesos plus a contribution from the interested party of 23,215
pesos. The incentive per individual is up to 125,000 pesos and for legal
entities it is up to 375,000 pesos.
